Heroes of Might and Magic V: Tribes of the East is the second expansion pack to the turn-based strategy game Heroes of Might and Magic V and the first stand-alone expansion pack launched for the fifth installment of the game. This expansion fixes many bugs present in the basic edition and features many improvements to the gameplay itself. Also, new features have been added. The main difference in the gameplay is that you are going to play the Orc faction for the first time in the saga. The storyline starts with the character Quroq, an Orc, taking over a rebelled Haven city and introducing concerns regarding the false Queen Isabel. The queen sends her most reliable servant, the Archbishop Alaric to reject the Orc invasion. The real events that take place between this situation and the next time we see the Orcs are unknown though Quroq is killed by Alaric at some point. New spells have been added with the purpose of re-balancing the combat and including more content in the gameplay. The map editor has been redefined so as to allow the creation of campaigns and support the previous versions of game maps together with expanded terrain and texture creation possibilities. This expansion should not be missed by any fan of this amazing strategy saga.
